Hello Kristie and David: Moira and I arrived home to Dundas after having enjoyed our brief respite at Bonnie Doone---dropped in at Sugar & Spice on your recommendation, also Bright Cheese shop at Shakespeare, Rheo Thompson in Stratford, then enjoyed the peace of the swans on the river. Just wanted again to thank you both for the welcome we received, plus the A1 service accorded us. We have been coming to the Bonnie Doone every year for almost 20 years. We started out just my husband and me, then we brought our 2 daughters, and now we bring our grandson. We have the best multi-generation memories of coming to Grand Bend and also of the Douglas family (owners of Bonnie Doone). If you need a place to build family memories I highly recommend coming here to stay. You'll enjoy yourself rain or shine - and the sunsets still rate one of the top 10 in the world. I can tell you that it is amazing to sit in the chairs and watch the people come to the beach at sunset to take pictures or just enjoy the view but to also look up at the Manor and the Court Yard and wonder about the people who sit in the famous chairs of Bonnie Doone. My grandfather, Bernard Jones, was a friend of the Douglas family and, in fact, owned the cottage where their home now sits. He used to say, "If you're very, very quiet, when the sun hits the water, you can hear the sizzle." When I saw all
